Inter-governmental Commission of Economic and Trade Cooperation between Afghanistan-Pakistan

The 10th Session of the Inter-governmental Commission of Economic and Trade Cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was held on November, 2015 in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The session was co-chaired by Mr. Eklil Hakimi, Minister of Finance of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Mr. Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics & Privatization, of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with the participation of government representatives of both countries.
The parties met in a friendly environment where they discussed how to improve and strengthen trade and economic relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Both parties reaffirmed further expansion and strengthening of trade and economic relations between the two countries, and also emphasized the key role of the Joint Commission to achieve their mutual goals.
At the end of the session the 10th protocol of the Inter-governmental Commission of Economic and Trade Cooperation between the two countries was signed. The protocol consists of areas of cooperation in sphere of transport and transit, customs, hydro power and gas, higher education and many various sections.
