Third Session of the Inter-governmental Commission of Economic and Trade Cooperation between Afghanistan- China

The third Session of the Inter-governmental Commission of Economic and Trade Cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Republic of China was held on December 4, 2017 in Beijing, China.
The session was co-chaired by H. E. Prof. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance and Senior Adviser of H.E. the President on Infrastructure Affairs, with the participation of government representatives of both countries.
The parties met in a friendly environment where they discussed how to improve and strengthen trade and economic relations between Afghanistan and China. Both parties reaffirmed further expansion and strengthening of trade and economic relations between the two countries, and also emphasized the key role of the Joint Commission to achieve their mutual goals.
At the end of the session the 3rd protocol of the Inter-governmental Commission of Economic and Trade Cooperation between the two countries was signed. The protocol consists of areas of cooperation in sphere of transport and transit, customs, higher education and much more sectors.
